Patong beach would be the most famous because of the wide variety of things to do there. It is considered as one of the best places to party and do just about everything in Phuket. At night, the town is bustling with all the restaurants, bars and discos where you could go to to have a good time. The nightlife in Patong is centered in Soi Bangla, though there are still some quiet parts you can go to on the beach.
Karon beach offers a long stretch of amazing white sand and is more peaceful compared to Patong. It offers a wide range of amenities, accommodations, dining options and activities. Although it is being developed rather quickly, the beach in Karon is well-spread out and is not likely to make you feel crowded. Many couples visit Karon for the spectacular view and romantic restaurants that provides a passionate setting.
The beautiful bay of Kata also attracts a lot of tourists with its clear waters and white sandy beaches. Kata is considered as the family favorite because of the peaceful beach, warm accommodations and family-oriented restaurants. Kata also has a lively nightlife but is tamer compared to the other areas in Phuket. You can expect a couple of loud bars here and there but the many other less raucous bars balance them out.
